High Adventure
Troop 209 maintains an active high adventure program. Each year, the Troop plans two high adventure trips; a major trip for more senior and advanced scouts and a regional high adventure trip, usually within one day’s distance and designed for any scout who has at least reached tenderfoot rank and been with the Troop for at least 6 months.
Most recently, in 2017, we sent 2 crews to Philmont, in New Mexico
In 2018, we will be going to the Ozark Mountains, The Georgia Coastal Islands, or to Maine near Allagash. There will be a vote sometime soon.
